Executive Spotlight: Anthony Wainaina – Driving Gender Inclusion as a Strategic Imperative
For Anthony Wainaina, CEO of Ponty Pridd, the launch of She Delivers was never a pilot — it was a blueprint for industry transformation. His vision reframed the program not as an experiment, but as a long-term strategy to dismantle gender stereotypes and embed gender inclusion into the core of Kenya’s logistics and transport sector.
“She Delivers isn’t asking ‘what if.’ It’s redefining ‘what is,’” Anthony emphasized.
Anchored in the program’s mantra — “She Belongs. She Moves. She Delivers.” — Anthony views diversity and inclusion not as values but as non-negotiable infrastructure. In his model, DEI standards stand shoulder to shoulder with operational policies, ISO codes, and safety benchmarks, directly influencing how fleets are managed, contracts are awarded, and talent is cultivated.
A Blueprint for Sector-Wide Change
Recognizing that no single company can achieve systemic transformation alone, Anthony called for industry-wide collaboration.
“No firm can mainstream women alone — only a networked sector can,” he stated.
He was clear: Ponty Pridd will not gatekeep the She Delivers framework. Instead, he extended an open invitation to stakeholders across the logistics ecosystem to co-create a more inclusive future. He sees immediate potential in joint training programs, shared safety and wellness protocols, and the establishment of a Women-in-Logistics Forum — a collective body to shape policy, elevate visibility, and ensure representation at the decision-making table.
Measurable Impact: From Vision to Action
Two years since inception, She Delivers has trained over 50 women, now actively involved in freight logistics, fleet analytics, and supply chain operations. With the third cohort underway, the program continues to prove that inclusion drives innovation and performance.
Anthony’s foresight and commitment have transformed She Delivers into more than a program — it’s a movement reshaping the DNA of an entire industry. As our vision carrier, we thank him for catalyzing a shift that will define the future of transport and logistics through diversity, equity, and inclusivity.
