The Challenge: Gender Gap in Kenya’s Transport & Logistics

Despite accounting for nearly half of Kenya’s workforce, women hold fewer than 20% of logistics and transport roles. Barriers include:

  •     Limited access to technical and vocational training

     

  •     Stereotypes about “men’s work” in driving, mechanics, and fleet management

     

  •     Lack of mentorship and professional networks

     

Without targeted interventions, these gaps will persist—limiting both economic growth and women’s empowerment.

Introducing She Delivers: A Full‑Stack Transformation

Launched under our Sustainability pillar, the She Delivers hub is more than a training program. It’s a holistic ecosystem designed to:

  •     Identify women

     

  •     Train them across multiple logistics disciplines

     

  •     Mentor them through real‑world placements

     

  •     Support them with community networking and life‑skills

     

By the end of each six‑month cohort, participants are fully equipped to step into—and excel in—transport and logistics roles.
