She Delivers: Driving Change for Women in Logistics and Transport
When Veronica Nduva, then Principal Secretary for Gender and Affirmative Action, addressed the 2023 She Delivers program launch, she left the room with a powerful call to action:
“Our logistics sector is booming, yet half the talent pool waits outside the gates.”
Calling She Delivers a game changer for women in logistics, she urged the industry to go beyond offering internships — to deliver inclusive opportunities, drive policy change, and create a Women in Logistics Forum that empowers women to lead, connect, and influence decisions in the transport and logistics sector.
Changing the Mindset, Not Just the System
At She Delivers, we took that challenge to heart. For us, this wasn’t just about creating a place for women in transport — it was about proving that women belong. Whether it’s our female interns hauling cargo across Kenya, diagnosing engines, or managing operations, we are breaking industry stereotypes with results, not just words.
The Rise of the She Delivers Hub
Today, PS Nduva’s vision is taking shape. The She Delivers Hub — our dedicated online platform for engagement, mentorship, and leadership — is being developed to give women in logistics a central place to connect, collaborate, and lead. Across Kenya’s transport and logistics industry, women are uniting their voices to push for inclusive workplaces, supportive networks, and policy reforms that foster long-term change.
Real Impact: Interns, Alumni, and a Stronger Industry
In just two years, She Delivers has trained over 50 female interns through our immersive logistics internship program that combines technical training with essential life skills such as personal branding, communication, and leadership. With Cohort 3 in full swing, our alumni are now establishing themselves as competent, confident, and future-ready professionals — setting a new standard for the women who follow.
We’re proud to say: She Delivers is delivering — not only talent but transformation. And the future of transport and logistics in Kenya is stronger because of it.
