She Delivers Cohort 2 Graduation: Accelerating Action for Gender Equality in Transport & Logistics
As we celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, we are reminded that collectively, we have the ability to Accelerate Action for gender equality. Speaking during the graduation ceremony of the 2nd cohort of She Delivers program, Stella Mputhia,The Program Director emphasized that the program was indeed born out of Ponty Pridd holdings Commitment to bridging gender disparities in Kenya’s transport and logistics industry. “ She Delivers has, within just two years, rewritten the industry narrative. The program has nurtured a new generation of confident and competent women, ready to challenge traditional norms and take their place in roles once deemed off-limits” she noted .
She Delivers is uniquely structured to reflect the nuances of the transport and logistics industry. Interns undergo a rigorous, immersive training program covering both technical and soft skills. Participants specialize in areas such as driving, mechanics, ICT, logistics, and business operations, receiving hands-on training under dedicated mentors
She further noted in a key address speech that “Acceleration is not just a word—it is our reality at She Delivers. It means getting more women behind the wheel, under the hood, behind the computer screens, at decision-making tables, and in positions of influence. She Delivers is accelerating more inclusion; we are preparing them to lead, shifting perceptions, challenging norms, and ensuring that women don’t just take part in transport and logistics, but actively shape its future” she noted.
The graduates of She Delivers are not just entering the workforce—they are transforming it. Armed with skills, confidence, and the support of a powerful sisterhood, they are proving that women belong in transport and logistics. With a commitment to continuous growth and impact, the program aims to empower even more women, ensuring they not only secure employment but become industry leaders and changemakers.
